About PureEV
Pure EV is an electric vehicle startup that is incubated at IIT Hyderabad. They manufacture most of the 2-wheeler category vehicles from bicycles, scooters and motorcycles. At present, they offer two electric bicycles and Etron+ is one of them. PureEV mentions the operating cost of this Etron bicycle is only 5 paise per kilometer. Now, let’s take a look at PureEV’s claims about Etron+ specifications.
Technical overview
PureEV Etron+ comes with a 500Wh battery pack which offers a range of 30-40 km. It has a 36V hub motor in the rear wheel which gives a power output of 250W. The battery pack of Etron+ is detachable and it usually takes up to 6 hours for a full recharge. Etron+ has 5 levels of pedal assist and the highest possible range of this pedal-assist is 60km. It comes with a digital display which indicates all necessary parameters of bicycle and it has a top speed of 25kmph. The acceleration of this electric bicycle from 0- 25 kmph of top speed is around 7 seconds.
General specifications
The frame of Etron+ is a 20″ steel frame and it weighs around 24 kg. It comes with 2.35″ tyres and it has wheel rims of Double-wall alloy. Etron+ is not a single-speed electric bicycle and it has a 7-speed Shimano derailleur. The electric bicycle comes with a telescopic suspension at the front along with front and rear disc brakes.
