MINI Cooper SE Specifications
Talking about the MINI Cooper SE, it is the demonstration car and would be a dream car for the EV lovers. It gives a range of between 235 and 270 kilometers (146 to 168 miles) and it has a fast-charging option at up to 50 kW.
Its acceleration is just the 0 to 60 seconds in just 7 seconds. zero to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 7.3 seconds. Coming to technical specifications of the BMW’s small electric car it has electric motor delivers 135 kW/184 hp and a maximum torque of 270 Nm.
Range of between 235 and 270 kilometers (146 to 168 miles). It has the 32.6 kWh battery. It can be charged 80 percent in just 35 minutes using a 50kW fast-charging station.
Features of the MINI electric
It has 3 doors, the grille is closed-off, bumpers have been redesigned as the air intakes omitted.
It has usual instrument replaced with the 5.5-inch screen that gives you information about your battery level and another EV specific vitals.
You also have a 6.5-inch touchscreen in the middle with the Apple CarPlay, Mini Online and real-time traffic updates, maps that will show you the nearby charging stations that are must for your EV. The upgraded model also included Park Distance Control, a rear camera and driver assists.
If you are going with the premium model you will get an 8.8-inch touchscreen, wireless phone charging, parking assistance, and a Harman Kardon audio system.
The registrations are available for the UK residents for £299 (roughly $373) per month lease or £24,400 purchase after a plug-in car credit (about $30,425).
The price of the EV is around $36,400 U.S.when converted from the €32,500 starting cost,
The company had already started shipping these, with the likely delivery date of March 2020 and had received a lot of pre-registered customers.
Bernd Koerber, senior vice president of MINI, said in a statement that BMW has decided against one launch date for all markets. Koerber continued, “The first vehicles will then be delivered as early as possible.”
Hyundai Kona Electric launched yesterday
The car is being advertised as ‘India’s first real electric SUV’. Recently, Hyundai disclosed that the ARAI certified range of Kona is 452 km on a single full charge and claimed that the car’s battery can be charged up to 80% in less than an hour. Globally, Hyundai Kona comes in two battery variants – a 39kWh and 64kWh.
