About Tigor
Tata Tigor EV is the electric version of the Tata Tigor and here are Tata’s claims about Tigor. It is available in 3-variants which are XE+, XM+ and XT+. Tigor has a diamond front grill with an EV badge and LED tail lamps. Tata claims that the roofline got its inspiration from the coupe design style. This electric car can offer space for 5 people and 255 liters of boot space storage. The gross vehicle weight is around 1590Kg and it has a ground clearance of 176mm. Since it’s electric, the car has a single-speed automatic transmission just like most other electric cars.
Tigor has a disc brake on the front and drum brakes on the rear. When it comes to safety, the top variant of tigor has two airbags on the dashboard and ABS with Electronic Brake-force Distribution to optimize braking distance and to ensure vehicle stability on corners.
Technical overview
Here are tata’s claims about the technical specifications of tigor EV. The vehicle has a certified range of 213km as per the MIDC cycle. With a 72V 3-phase AC, motor tigor can reach a topspeed of 80 kmph and the vehicle has a gradeability of 9.8 degrees. The vehicle has a battery pack of 21.5 kWh and it offers AC standard charging, and DC fast charging options. The 15kW fast charging can recharge 0-80% in 2 hours while the normal charging takes up to 11.5 hours.
