Hero Electric launched two new e-scooters
The renowned electric vehicle makers in the country, Hero Electric launched two new e-scooters on Monday. Optima ER and Nyx ER (Extended Range) are the two high-end e-scooters from Hero Electric.

Hero Electric expanding its scooter’s range of heavy-duty and high-speed. The Optima ER and Nyx ER are now available at Rs 68,721 and Rs 69,754, respectively across company’s dealerships.
As of now, Hero plans to take up 615 touch-points and to make the brand accessible even in the most interior parts of the country, it is planning to make it 1000 by the end of 2020. Over the next three years, the company has huge investment plans to gear up the production capacity of its electric scooters to 5 lakh units annually.
Hero has also announced the inauguration of its new corporate office in Bengaluru as part of its plan to increase its touch-points all over the country to extend its operations.

Approximately 7,59,000 electric vehicles were sold in India in 2018-19. Out of them, 6,30,000 units are electric three-wheeler, followed by electric two-wheeler at 1,26,000 units and electric cars at just 3,600 units.
Start-ups such as Zomato, Swiggy, Ola and Uber which provide last-mile connectivity within cities are the early adopters of electric two-wheelers. The hero is also targeting this segment.
“We want to offer the best of Hero Electric products to all our customers. One feedback which we have constantly received was the range anxiety associated with e-scooters. With the Nyx ER and Optima ER, we are addressing that issue by offering a package that is high on performance and usability,” said Sohinder Gill, CEO, Hero Electric India.
