Tender for 300 Tata EVs
Convergence Energy Services Limited (CESL) which is a subsidiary of Energy Efficiency Services Limited (EESL), mentions that it is going to procure 300 EVs from Tata. The cost of the tender is approximately 44 crores and procurement of these electric four-wheelers will be in phase 1 of the tender. As a part of this tender, each EV costs around 14.4 lakh INR approximately.
Ford electric pickup reveal
Ford reveals its electric F-150 lightning pickup truck. The IC and hybrid F-150s are already some of the successful trucks in the US. It is going to be available in two battery pack options which can offer a range of up to 340 km and 480 km. The competition for pickups is high in the United States auto market and most startups had pickup sector as a part of their target.
Lexus all-electric vehicles
Japanese luxury automaker Lexus mentions that we can expect the first battery-electric vehicle (BEV) by 2022. By 2025, we may see at least 10 battery electric vehicles (BEV) from the automaker. Until now the manufacturer has focused on hybrid and fuel cell electric vehicles.
Subaru’s First electric SUV
In another news from Japan, Subaru teases its first electric SUV Solterra which is built on the e-Subaru Global Platform. The name “Solterra” is the combination of the Latin words for “Sun” and “Earth”. We can expect this Electric SUV in Subaru showrooms by 2022.
