DDA proposed 95% of rebate for EV charging stations
As the government is working to adopt EVs faster in India. In order to achieve the targeted goal, it has recently announced a substantial tax exemption on the loans taken to buy an electric vehicle. Not only this the import taxes have also been reduced on the EV components and slashes as well.
Niti Aayog
Its think tank i.e Niti Aayog proposed that by 2025 all the electric models must be electrified, the two-wheelers under the 150 cc category should be changed to all-electric models and all three-wheelers should be converted to electric models by 2023.
Rebate for EV charging stations
The Delhi Development Authority (DDA) in a statement said that “The Authority today approved the levy of use conversion charges for setting up fuel stations on privately-owned land falling in all use zones of urban areas, including urban extension areas, in agricultural areas or green belts.”
It made a proposal to set up fuel stations on a privately owned land which can be used especially in the urban areas provided the owners pays a user fee.
This proposal will be sent to the Union Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs for its approval. This was decided at a meeting chaired by the Lt Governor Anil Baijal regarding urban body at Raj Niwas in Delhi.
