Especially in India which is the largest Two-wheeler market in the world, has a number of electric scooter startups which already took over the electric scooter place. But the existing manufacturers are trying to deploy their best scooters to get ahead in the market. Suzuki is one such manufacturer which is now entering the electric scooter space of India. Yes, Suzuki Burgman electric scooter may soon hit the Indian roads.

About Burgman electric

Most of us might know about Suzuki Burgman as a successful scooter in most parts of the world. But we have a fact about this scooter which most of us are unaware about in Burgaman’s history. Suzuki was one of the first companies to experiment with an electric scooter and the hydrogen fuel cell. The electric scooter is from the Burgman series which can offer a range of around 300km if driven at 30kmph top speed. Now, Suzuki came up with Burgman battery electric scooter that can rival the Indian and global competitors.

Technical overview

Since the electric scooter is undergoing several on-road tests for the last two years, information about this scooter is yet to be known. However, we have estimated information about few important specifications of this electric scooter. The scooter comes with a 3 kW electric motor and a fixed battery pack which has 72 V 48 Ah. The scooter has an approximate certified range of 90-110 km. The 72 V battery pack can take up to 4 hours for a full recharge. 

Conclusion

Burgman electric may arrive in the Indian market in the last quarter of 2021 with an expected price of 1-1.2 Lakh. The scooter might have the same looks and similar performance just like its IC partner. The brakes of Burgman electric are also similar to Burgman 125 which has a front disc brake and a rear drum brake.
