Vespa Elettrica is an electric scooter from a leading Italian two-wheeler manufacturer Piaggio Group. It is the most awaited electric scooter to be launched in India. This will be the first electric scooter in India from the company which has received the honourable mention at the 26th edition of the world’s most authoritative design award, the ADI Compasso d’Oro (industrial design award).

It was first unveiled in India in 2020 at the Auto Expo and the company’s Diego Graffi, chairman and managing director says the company is looking out for opportunity and demand for electric two-wheelers in India. At current, the Vespa Elettrica is on sale mainly in Europe. The company will bring in a model based on the Elettrica which will be designed and engineered specially for the Indian market.

It is the most and super silent electric scooter and more importantly, you can experience the absence of acoustic pollution and a smooth-riding experience.

Elettrica has been designed to make life simple, from riding to recharging to maintenance.
It has the added feature of the reverse option through which and you can easily recharge your Elettrica.

Technological savvy

It has a digital colour TFT dashboard that provides all the riding information and useful trip statistics. It also has a Vespa MIA multi-media app that can be connected with a smartphone to the bike via Bluetooth.

Vespa offers two versions of the Elettrica with its new silver-plated look. For urbanities, there is an option available with 45 km/hour which comes with six colour variants and the riders who are looking for some more top speed can opt for 70 km/hour and they have four colour options.

Technical specifications for 70 km/h variant

The Vespa Elettrica 70 km/h variant is equipped with a 3.6kW with 4kW maximum power and comes with a 4.2 kWh 48V 86 Ah battery capacity and can give 1,000 cycles (residual capacity 80%). Its battery can be charged in 4 hours and its motor produces 200 Nm of torque and provides a top speed of 70 km/h. It provides a range of 100 km / 70 km in eco/power mode. 

Technical specifications for 45 km/h variant

The Vespa Elettrica 45 km/h variant is equipped with a 3.5kW with 4kW maximum power and comes with a 4.2 kWh 48V 86 Ah battery capacity and can give 1,000 cycles (residual capacity 80%). Its battery can be charged in 4 hours and its motor produces 200 Nm of torque and provides a top speed of 45km/h. It provides a range of 100 km / 80 km in eco/power mode.
