It is apt for cruise lines and tour operators because they provide clients with a memorable adventure in a cost-efficient and easy maintenance package. Also, Triton DeepView offers surrounding views of underwater with industrial-grade and most transparent acrylic shell around passengers.
Technical overview
Triton deepview has an endurance of 14 hours of continuous underwater operation. To support this endurance of deepview has 240kWh lead-acid battery pack which offers a 24V supply. It has a pair of 20kW main thrusters and 2 pairs of 12.6 kW vertran thrusters to provide the submersible functionality. The submersible has an underwater cruising speed of 3 knots and it can reach a depth of 100m. Along with these battery packs, an emergency battery pack is also available onboard.
Operation
Triton deepview electric submersible is modular and the present configuration can carry 24 passengers. In order to operate the submarine, additional space for the pilot and co-pilot is available. Coming to the weight, the submersible is 55,000 kg in which the main ballast is 4000 kg and the variable ballast is 1800kg.
Conclusion
The increase in tourism is also damaging the corals and unexplored islands. Most of the existing watercraft are emitting pollutants which in turn damages the ocean waters and disturbing the underwater ecosystem.
