The Maruti Suzuki eVX has been spotted testing in India

Indian roads see the debut of the eVX test mule, which has been spotted in various international locations

The eVX is Maruti Suzuki’s first electric vehicle, which was unveiled at the Auto Expo 2023. Test mules have been spotted at various foreign locations, and a concept vehicle made its debut at the Japan Mobility Show in October. The vehicle will launch in the Indian market in 2025. This is, however, the first time the eVX has been spotted on Indian roads.

Black tape completely concealed the electric SUV’s contours and body lines, as with many other test mules. To conceal the design of the tail lamps, the glass area of the rear tail lamps has been omitted. The design of the front headlamp is visible in a brief video clip.

eVX incorporates the battery into the floorboard, positioning the wheels at the corners and using a dedicated electric skateboard platform. By using this configuration, cabin space is enhanced, increasing the amount of space available for passengers.

Dimensionally, the Suzuki eVX concept measures 4,300 mm in length, 1,800 mm in width, and 1,600 mm in height. According to Maruti Suzuki, the eVX will be equipped with a 60 kWh lithium-ion battery pack, although details regarding the specific cell chemistry cannot be disclosed. It has been stated by the company that the electric vehicle will have a range of 550 kilometers. Furthermore, there is a possibility that the eVX will be available with all-wheel drive.

The car’s interior was revealed during the Japan Mobility Show, featuring a dual-screen arrangement that was anticipated. An instrument cluster integrated with an infotainment system will form a freestanding unit with a fully digital display. Sporty steering wheels, rotary dials, and touch panels are expected to be included in the interior.

Similarly, it has been reported previously that Maruti has surpassed Mahindra to become the largest SUV manufacturer in the country in the first half of 2023-24.
