TATA TIAGO EV PRICE HIKE BY RS 20,000 ACROSS ALL VARIANTS

PRICES HIKE BY RS 20,000:

Automaker Tata Motors increased the prices if its electric hatchback Tiago EV by up to Rs 20,000.

Tata Motors launched the Tiago EV back in September 2022. At the time of launch, the introductory price of Tiago EV was of Rs 8.49 lakhs (ex-showroom) and went up to Rs 11.79 lakh for the top variant. These rates were valid for the first 10,000 customers out of which 2,000 units were reserved for existing Tata customers. But when the demand increased company extended the prices to the first 20,000 customers.

New prices of Tiago EV now start from Rs 8.69 lakh – a price hike of Rs 20,000.

Tiago EV is the first electric hatchback in its segment.

COLOUR AND VARIANT OPTIONS:

The Tata Tiago EV is available in four variant options: XE, XT, XZ+ and XZ+ Tech LUX and in 5 different colours: Teal Blue, Daytona Grey, Pristine White, Midnight Plum and Tropical Mist. It is the company’s fourth electric model.

BATTERY AND CHARGING OPTIONS:

It is powered by two battery packs: larger battery pack with 24 kWh power and range of 315 kms and a smaller 19.2 kWh battery offering a 250 km range. It can be charged within an hour with a fast charger while the normal charging can take up to 8.7 hours.

FEATURES:

About the features, it gets an automatic climate control, touchscreen infotainment screen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, rain-sensing wipers, automatic headlamps, powered tailgate, cruise control, 45 ZConnect features with smartwatch compatibility, and electrically adjustable and foldable ORVMs.

NEW PRICES:

The new prices of Tiago EV are:

XE with 19.2kWh battery pack and 3.3kW charger – Rs 8.69 lakh

XT with 19.2kWh battery pack and 3.3kW charger – Rs 9.29 lakh

XT with 24kWh battery pack and 3.3kW charger – Rs 10.19 lakh

XZ+ with 24kWh battery pack and 3.3kW charger – Rs 10.99 lakh

XZ+ Tech LUX with 24kWh battery pack and 3.3kW charger – Rs 11.49 lakh

XZ+ with 24kWh battery pack and 7.2kW charger – Rs 11.49 lakh

XZ+ Tech LUX with 24kWh battery pack and 7.2kW charger – Rs 11.99 lakh

Vivek Srivatsa, Head, Marketing, Sales and Service Strategy, Tata Passenger Electric Mobility Ltd., said, “The Tiago.ev is a special product as it is making electric mobility accessible and mainstream. It has received a phenomenal response from customers making it the ‘Fastest Booked EV’ in India with 10,000 units being booked on the first day and 20,000 bookings achieved within a month.”

He further added, “It is now time for us to move to the next leg of this journey. To continue extending the fervour of this exciting product to more customers without any compromise, we are happy to announce the starting price of the Tiago.ev range at INR 8.69 Lakh, a nominal Rs 20,000 hike from the proposed introductory price – committing to our promise of democratising the EV market and keeping the product accessible to all by retaining the starting price below 10 lakhs.”
