STAGE SET FOR FORMULA E RACE IN HYDERABAD

 

The Hyderabad E-Prix will be a race of the single-seater, electrically powered Formula E race.

The Hyderabad E-Prix will be the first Formula E race to be held in India on February 11, 2023, since the Buddh International Circuit hosted the last F1 Indian GP in 2013.

The Hyderabad E-Prix will be held at a street circuit alongside the Hussain Sagar Lake in Hyderabad, Telangana. The 2.835km long circuit also winds through Lumbini Park and features a total of 18 corners.

Eleven teams will feature in the first-ever Formula E race in India.

The teams which are participating in this event are Avalanche Andretti Formula E, TAG Heuer Porsche Formula E Team, NEOM McLaren Formula E Team, Envision Racing, Jaguar TCS Racing, Mahindra Racing, DS Penske, Nissan Formula E Team, Maserati MSG Racing, NIO 333 Racing, and ABT CUPRA Formula E Team.

The state government is expecting over 20,000 fans from around the world to attend this event.

The tickets for the event are only available online, and divided into multiple categories, ranging from INR 100 to INR 1,25,000.

About the sponsors, Formula E and Ace Nxt Gen, the promoter of the first ABB FIA Formula E World Championship race in India have announced that Greenko will be the title partner of the 2023 Greenko Hyderabad E-Prix.

About the timing: February 10 – Free Practice 1- 16.25 to 17.25

                              February 11-Free Practice 2-8.00 to 8.55PM

                              February 11 -Drivers Parade- 13:40 to 13:55

                              February 11-Race- 15:00 to 16:30

 

The battery-powered Formula E machines promote sustainability and a greener world.

The cars of formula E have rapidly evolved over the last eight seasons and Gen3 technology has been introduced this season.

Gen3 is the fastest, lightest, most powerful and efficient car in its history.

The top speed is 320 kmph, a 100kmph faster than the Gen1 cars. The Gen2 cars touch speeds over 280kmph.

The power output has been increased to 350kw in the Gen3 cars and with regeneration, it could go up to 600kw.

The latest cars are also 60kg lighter than the previous generation and weigh at 840kg.

Formula E sees India as a huge market and hopes to have a long future in the country.

“It took us too long to get to India. We will be here until they want us,” Formula E co-founder Alberto Longo had said after marking the 100-day countdown to the race.
