Introducing Gogoro’s CrossOver electric scooter

Gogoro, the Taiwanese electric mobility firm, recently launched its latest CrossOver electric scooter. The CrossOver is a two-wheeler SUV that offers both on-road and off-road capabilities in a single package. It is an upgraded version of the conventional e-scooter that can now handle dirt trails as well. With several upgrades, including additional storage options, the CrossOver e-scooter is more practical and better equipped to handle rough terrains.

The Gogoro Cross-Over has a rugged look with fork gaiters on the front forks and 12-inch wheels wrapped in Maxxis dual-purpose tires. The design has more black panels, giving it a more utilitarian feel. There are also multiple accessory options available, including front and rear luggage racks, as well as four built-in cargo compartments. This makes it very useful for last-mile mobility riders who need to traverse tough terrains to reach remote areas.

The CrossOver electric scooter is powered by a 7.6 kW (10.19 bhp) motor, but the range and charging time are yet to be revealed by the company. This rugged e-scooter boasts a synchronized braking system, telescopic front forks, and dual shock absorbers at the rear. Moreover, it comes equipped with a range of advanced features such as a color display with smartphone connectivity, OTA updates, a traction control system, and optional cruise control.

The Gogoro CrossOver is currently available for purchase only in Taiwan, but the company plans to introduce it to other markets soon. While Gogoro has a limited presence in India, it is actively working on establishing its charging infrastructure business in the country. The company is expected to launch its range of electric scooters in India in the near future, and the CrossOver e-scooter would be an interesting addition to its lineup. If it is introduced in India, the CrossOver will compete with the River Indie e-scooter.
