Fisker to deliver 700 of its Ocean electric SUV to Uk based Onto
Fisker a US-based electric vehicle manufacturer has announced a partnership with Onto the UK based electric car subscription service for private and business users. According to the agreement of the first multi-vehicle reservation for Fisker in the UK market and it will have a delivery of up to 700 vehicles in 2023.
The Fisker will open a London experience centre to showcase its all-electric Ocean SUV in 2022. Onto will be the first customer for Fisker in the UK and also will be the rental and subscription partner for 2023. Onto provides electric vehicles subscription services which include public charging and servicing and the customers are also able to drive the latest electric cars with the insurance.
At present, it has more than 3000 vehicles run by both private and business customers all over the UK. Henrik Fisker, chairman and CEO at Fisker, said “We are seeing the rapid growth of innovative companies like Onto that are enabling the transition to electric mobility.
“Our focus for business-to-business reservations is on high-quality companies that share our commitment to deliver an outstanding customer experience. Our partnership with Onto is a significant step in rapidly building our presence in the UK electric vehicle market.”
Fisker & Foxconn collaborated on EV project ‘PEAR’
Recently it made an announcement that it has collaborated with Apple Inc supplier Foxconn to manufacture more than 250,000 vehicles from late 2023. Both the companies will jointly work on the deal “Project PEAR” (Personal Electric Automotive Revolution) a codenamed. They will cover the markets globally including North America, Europe, China and also India.
The collaboration between the two will develop and sell electric vehicles under the Fisker brand that will be the second upcoming vehicle after the Ocean electric SUV through the Flexee Lease program.
