ASDC partners ISIE India & MG Motor for EV skill development and research

Automotive Skill Development Council (ASDC) partnered with ISIE India (Imperial Society of Innovative Engineers) and MG Motor India to address the issues regarding electric vehicles and developing skilled manpower for the automobile industry. It will also look into the issue of the employment of the youth in India. Read further to know why ASDC partners ISIE India and MG Motors. 

ASDC partners ISIE India & MG Motor 

The partnership aims to provide high-end car technologies in India through online and offline skill development courses for engineering students under the Centre of Excellence for EV Research and Skill Development-Electric Vehicle Engineering.

The training program will focus on skill enhancement and also improves employment opportunities in the automobile industry. It will also allow the young students to develop relevant skills on the futuristic electric vehicle (EV/HEV) technologies which empowers them to be self-reliant for the future fulfilling the government aim of Skill India.

Nikunj Sanghi, president of, ASDC said “It is a great honor to partner with ISIE India and MG Motors India for skill development and research for EV Sector. We at ASDC always believe in building a sustainable skilling ecosystem in the automotive industry. The automobile industry is growing rapidly and moving towards electric vehicles. MG Motor India’s Yash Yadav said “MG Motors India is also one of the fastest start-up autonomous industry and as a very young organization, ISIE is running skill development programs for youth and trains people with high skills development. It’s a great pride to partner with ISIE India for skill development and research for EV Sector”.

Vinod Gupta, president, ISIE India said “Through our practice on electric vehicle engineering programs and various EV training programs, we will be creating young entrepreneurs and skilled engineers. COE will be established at various Universities and institutes to exchange their knowledge and excellence for EV skills development and research.”

Recently, the ISIE INDIA and Morris Garages (MG Motors) had announced that they have partnered to establish a Centre of Excellence for EV Research to build an eco-friendly environment and sustainable mobility solutions in India.

As per the memorandum of understanding (MOU), the ISIE and MG Motors INDIA will establish more than 100 Centres of Excellence in training and research for Electic Vehicles Engineering. It has various Masters’s programs in Electric vehicles with specialization in EV, PG Diploma program in EV and HEV technologies will be offered to the students and the faculty.

Recently, MG Motor India had made an announcement that it has partnered with Attero for the recycling of electric vehicle batteries in India. The joint venture aims to reuse and recycle the lithium-ion batteries used in the company’s ZS EV units.
