Tigor Electric with an Extended Driving Range
In the next week, Tata Motors will be bringing the Tigor Electric with an extended driving range. Currently, the driving range is limited to 142 km and the extended version will come at 200 km.

The Tata Tigor Electric will be made available to private buyers also. At present, the Tigor EV was offered to cab aggregators and EESL staff. The price starts at Rs 9.96 lakh and goes up to Rs 10.30 lakhs as a result of imposing FAME II subsidies.
The current version of the Tata Tigor electric utilizes a 72 V, 3-Phase Induction motor which provides a lesser driving range of 142 km on a single charge. It generates a total of 40 bhp and a peak torque of 105 Nm. Transmission option includes a single speed automatic only and the top speed of Tata Tigor is 80km/h.

The battery of the Tigor Electric can be charged up to 80% in just 6 hours by using standard AC wall socket. A DC 15kW fast charger is also available which will charge the car to 80% in just 1.5 hours. Tata currently offers a 3 year or 1.25 lakh km warranty along with the battery pack for the EV.
The Tigor electric comes in three variants – XE, XM and XT. Features of Tigor include LED tail-lights, climate control, power-adjustable wing mirrors, shark fin antenna and among others. The higher spec comes with 14-inch alloy wheels, whereas the base and mid-spec models comprise of steel wheels. With the addition of battery pack, the boot space is reduced by 109 litres. Standard safety features like dual airbags, ABS with EBD, rear parking sensors, high-speed alert system and seat belt reminders will also include in the Tata Tigor EV.
