The best selling electric car in the world, Nissan Leaf is ready to launch in India by the end of 2020 with 363 km range and a 150km/hr top speed. The Nissan Leaf can charge 80% in just half an hour with a fast charger and it can go with 0-96km/h in 9.9 seconds. The car works with a powerful 80kW motor powered by 64kWh li-ion battery. The Nissan Leaf comes with a price tag of Rs 35-40 Lakh in India.
Mahindra XUV300 EV
The Mahindra XUV300 EV will be Going to be the highest range electric SUV from Mahindra. The SUV to be powered by a 40 kWh battery pack, which has a range of more than 300 km. The expected launch date of XUV300 EV is in 2021 with an estimated price of 12-15 lakh rupees.
Kia Soul EV
The Kia Soul EV is one of the most searched electric cars in India from 2019. It comes with a 64kWh lithium-ion battery, the Soul EV can travel 391 km on a single charge. It works with an 81.5kW motor power and its top speed is 168kmph. The car delivers a phenomenal 395 nm torque. The Soul EV is expected to launch at the end of 2020 with an estimated price of 15-20 Lakh rupees.
Tata Altroz EV
Under the Ziptron technology, the tata Altroz will be the second electric car after the Nexon EV. Altroz EV will have a range of 300km on a full charge and it charges up to 80% in just 60 minutes using a DC fast charger. It provides 8-years of warranty. The expected price of altroz EV is 14 lakhs all set for launch at the end of 2020.
Mahindra eKUV 100
The eKUV 100 is Mahindra first electric SUV which can give a maximum range of 140km range with a 72V Lithium-ion battery. The car can run with a top speed of 186 km/h and works with a 30.5 kW 3-phase AC induction motor. The e-KUV 100 can go 0-100 Kph in just 9 seconds. The car expected price is between 8 -10 lakhs and is expected to launch at the end of 2020.

Mumbai Based Strom Motors is making India’s most affordable electric car, the Strom R3. It is a 2 seater electric car powered by a 15 kW Motor and it offers a top speed of 80 km/h. It takes 3 hours to charge which gives a range of 200 km and its running cost is 40 paise per km. The Storm R3 is priced at 4 lakh rupees and is ready to launch in India at the end of 2020.
Maruti Wagon R Electric
The prototype has been developed by Suzuki Motor Corporation, manufactured at Gurugram facility, in India. The wagon R electric maximum range is 200km on a single charge and the top speed is 100-120 km/hr.
It works with a 3-Phase AC Induction motor and it comes with two charging ports. One is Ac fast charging which charges the electric car in 7 hours and Dc fast charging charges up to 80 per cent in just 1 hour. The ex-showroom price of Maruti Wagnor Electric expected as 7-9 Lakhs and the launch date of this car is at the end of 2020.
BMW Mini Copper EV
BMW is famous for its luxury cars, this Mini electric car is a mini version of luxury which gives a top speed of 150 km/h. It acceleration 0-100 km/h in 7.3 seconds. The car works with a high power motor with a peak power of 135 kW and gives a maximum torque of 270 NM.
The 33 kWh Lithium-ion battery provides a maximum range of 232 km. The mini electric car will launch worldwide at the end of 2020 with a price tag of 30,000 USD. BMW is planning to launch this electric car in India by a Price tag of 25-30 Lakh Rupees.
Extintion M1
The Extintion M1 is India’s first luxury electric car made by Praviaig dynamics. Praviaig dynamics claims that Mk1 will offer a range of 500km and uses a 96kWh battery pack. The car will have a top speed of 196 kph, which gets power from a 130 hp motor. The Company is planning to launch the Mk1 in the third quarter of 2021.
