Tata Power plan to build 25,000 new EV charging points

Tata Power plan to build 25,000 new EV charging points

In India, Tata Power has the largest and most observably expanding network of electric vehicle charging stations. Tata Power has the assurance and expertise to expand quickly and maintain its position as the leader in EV charging technology in the nation because of the popularity of the Tata Nexon Ev and other EV models from its parent business Tata Motors. Tata Power has outlined an ambitious plan to further its cause that will see exponential growth in its charging network and hopefully help eliminate range anxiety in EVs.

Tata Power’s EV charging initiatives, according to the company, are in line with the government’s National Electric Mobility Mission Plan (NEMMP), which aims to develop electric vehicle charging infrastructure using the most advanced technological platforms as well as easy access to charging points for electric vehicles.

The K2K (Kashmir to Kanyakumari) plan states that it is intended to raise the number of public and semi-public charging points to more than 25,000 throughout more than 450 cities over the course of the following five years. More than 250 bus chargers for electric buses are also part of the plan, which also includes 450 charging stations spread out along main National Highway routes. The programme covers buildings such as residences, offices, fleet stations, parks, and commercial intersections like e-bus charging stations.
