Tata Motors has unveiled its first-ever commercial electric truck, Ultra T.7 Electric at Auto Expo 2020. It is the latest product from the company in the ILCV (intermediate and light commercial vehicle) segment under the world-class vehicle range of Ultra Platform. Let us see in detail about Tata Motors first commercial electric truck.

Ultra T.7 electric truck specifications

The Ultra T.7 electric truck is specifically developed for Indian roads, redefining and transforming the transportation industry in India. It is India’s first-ever intermediate commercial electric truck. It is tough, modern and stylish city truck.

Looking into its specifications, it’s motor generating 245 KW as peak power which generates 2800 Nm of torque. It is equipped with a powerful 62.5 kWh battery pack which can be charged with an off-board DC fast charging, which takes approximately 2 hours to charge it to the fullest. With a full charge, it gives a range of more than 100 km and gives a top speed of 80 kmph. Its Gradeability is 26 per cent.

Tata Motors is claiming that this electric bus is designed for all business application which caters to agile goods movements.

Ultra T.7 electric truck features

It features includes faster turnaround time, higher payload capacity, easier manoeuvrability and sharper turning circle radius of 6.95 metres. It has tilt and telescopic integrated hydraulic power steering, air drum brakes, parabolic springs with antiroll bar, semi-elliptical leaf springs at the rear, 235/75 R17.5 tubeless radial tyres and allows wheels.

Tata Nexon EV

Recently, Tata Motors has launched Tata Nexon EV, the most awaited electric vehicle in India. This SUV is also said as a Connected Car as it comes with 35 intuitive features.

This car will be available in some of the major cities such as Bangalore, Delhi, Pune, Mumbai and Hyderabad. The Nexon EV is available in three colours such as Signature Teal Blue, Glacier White and Moonlit Silver.

Tata Nexon EV specifications

The Nexon EV is having a range of 312 km with a top speed of 120 km/h. It accelerates 0 to 100 kmph in 9.9s only. It can be charged 80% in 60 minutes with a Home charger and with a 15 Ah plugin home charger it can charge 20% to 80% in 8 hours.

It comes with a 30.2 kWh Ip67 certified battery pack with 8 years of warranty and is tested for 1 Million kilometres. It is equipped with 3 phase induction motor and its peak output of 129 PS and torque of 245 Nm.
