Skoda’s First Electric Car Spotted In India.

Skoda Enyaq.

The Skoda Enyaq is based on the VW ID.4. The electric SUV is set to be launched in India next year.

Skoda Auto India’s new electric SVU, the Enyaq, has been on the roads in India for quite a while now. Skoda is planning to launch the Enyaq in India by mid-2024. The Enyaq will come to India as a completely built unit, which means it will be expensive. Skoda did say that if there is a lot of demand, they might consider completely knocking down the assembly. Skoda will test the market response of Enyaq before deciding on its plans concerning electric vehicles. Skoda Enyaq competes with the likes of Hyundai Ioniq, the Kia EV6, and others in the Indian market.

Enyaq is built on Volkswagen Group’s MEB platform, which is a purpose-built electric skateboard chassis. Many manufacturers are now using this type of chassis as they make the most of interior space by putting the wheels in the corners while using the battery pack as a floorboard. The wheelbase is 2,765 mm, while the other dimensions are (4,648mm), (1,877mm) and (1,618mm). So, it’s a bit shorter than Skoda’s current flagship, Kodiaq, which is also a 2-row vehicle. Kodiaq, on the other hand, is a 3-row vehicle.

The maximum power output of the Electric Car is 200 bhp, while the maximum torque of the vehicle is 310 Nm The vehicle can go from 0 to 100 kmph in 8.5 seconds

On the inside, the cabin is packed with features. For a more premium look, you can opt for the more luxurious lounge trim.
