Ferrari’s first plug-in hybrid SF90 Stradale is a super hybrid car with a total of three electric motors, with turbo V8.

The Italian luxury sports car manufacturer announced its first plug-in hybrid car. It claims that it has the highest output of any 8-cylinder creating history.

Specifications of  SF90 Stradale Ferrari’s first plug-in hybrid car

The car will have a total of three electric motors, two on its front axes and one on its rear. It produces a 985 horsepower, which can accelerate from 0–62 mph rear. The combustion engine and m in just 2.5 seconds and reach a maximum speed of 211 mph. 




The powertrain is around a 3.99-liter, 90-degree turbo V8 which is taken from the F154 family engine which is used in the F8 Tributo.

The engine produces a 769 horsepower and 800 Nm (590 lb-ft) of torque which is meant as most powerful V8 Ferrari.

If you are looking at an all-electric drive in Ferrari, then you can go for short trips as the car provides the maximum of 15 miles of range.

The battery pack is 7.9 kWh that’s why it can only give a limited range of 25 km.

The engine will also turn off automatically when you reverse the car, that means the car’s gearbox doesn’t need to include a reverse gear. The reverse is handled by the electric motors.

The press release says, “Meticulous attention was lavished on sound quality when redesigning the exhaust system,” giving “fuller, richer harmonics across the entire frequency range.”

The driver can choose how the electric motors and combustion engine work together with the help of a selector present on the steering wheel called the e-Manettino.

Talking about its interior part, the dash is entirely digital,16-inch curved HD full-color screen, the curved screen makes the look of it more appealing.




It can be completely controlled using the touchpad on the right side and haptic buttons on the steering wheel. It also has the voice control system on the left. The HUD is projected onto the windscreen.

Four different engines modes

These controls are used to shift the car’s four different engines modes such as the all-electric eDrive, Hybrid, Performance, and Qualify. These offer a different balance of speed, battery, and fuel consumption.

The price and launch locations have not been announced yet by the company. We need to wait for the Ferrari to announce the price of the hybrid car and in which countries or cities it will launch its first hybrid car.
