SAR Group- Indian battery maker to manufacture electric vehicles

SAR Group, a Gurugram based Indian battery manufacturer company will now also manufacturers electric vehicles (EV) in a few months. It will mainly focus on two-wheelers, and small commercial and passenger vehicles.

SAR Group is a battery manufacturer for four years, it divested the stake in energy storage products brand Luminous to France’s Schneider Electric for Rs 1,400 crore back in 2011. The company had focused on the storage and power backup solutions earlier for the Schneider.

The commercial and passenger vehicles prototypes already developed by them and now are in the process of making the specifications more better and perfect for the battery-powered two-wheeler.




The Electric Two-wheelers Available For The Same Price Similar To Petrol Engine Scooters

These two-wheelers will be made available for the consumers in the same price of petrol engine scooters.
According to Gurpreet Singh Bhatia, chief executive officer of Livefast Batteries Private Limited, All Indian automakers, two-wheeler makers, EV starts up have revealed their plans about the launch of their battery-powered vehicles in this year.

Live fast batteries made around Rs 1,000 crore revenues last year and they are expecting to double their revenues on the Inverter Products this year.

“Most do not know that there are already one million e-rickshaws plying on the roads, mostly in West Bengal and Uttar Pradesh, and we are a dominant player in powering them. We have already set our priorities as far as the EVs and the EV batteries are concerned,” Bhatia told.

Electric Vehicles Shift- Passenger Vehicles, Commercial Trucks, Two-Wheeler

The EVs will start in the city with passenger vehicles, small commercial trucks, and a two-wheeler. The company will still use lead-acid batteries until they make lithium-ion batteries. The company is also planning to set up an EV charging infrastructure and made an agreement with the French company.

According to Live fast, Rs 15,000 crore is accounted for inverters only, out of Rs 25,000 crore.
Last year they sold 1 lakh units in just 75 days after the launch of inverter products and it will be launched across South India.
