Peugeot launches new e-Rifter compact van
A popular French automotive manufacturer Peugeot has launched its e-Rifter electric passenger compact van and is said to provide a range of 171 miles (WLTP) on a single charge. The Company is well known for making a range of passenger vehicles. Built on Peugeot’s multi-energy EMP2 platform, it is a family van available in two lengths-a five-seater and seven-seater configurations.

Peugeot e-Rifter comes with
- It has a towing capacity of up to 750kg
- Up to 4,000 litres of boot space.
- 100kW electric powertrain which is capable of up to 260Nm of torque.
- It has a battery pack of 50kWh
- Gives a top speed of 83mph.
- It can accelerate from 0-62mph in 11.2-seconds
- Electronic parking brake
Charging options
- Charger with a 7.4kW single-phase charger
- Optional 11kW 3-phase charger
- It can also be charged using a wall box or 100 kW rapid charging
- 7.4 kW Wallbox takes 7.5 hours to charge
- 11kW three-phase charger takes 5 hours
- Using a 100 kWh rapid charger, 0 to 80 percent can be charged in just 30 minutes

- 8-inch touchscreen- shows live energy status, energy efficiency, charge status, setting delay charging, public charging stations.
With the help of the MyPEUGEOT smartphone app, the users can schedule their charging slots to avoid off-peak electricity tariffs. It comes with 3 driving modes and two regenerative braking modes to optimise battery range and vehicle performance.
