Omega Seiki Mobility partners Forsee Power for smart EV battery solutions
Omega Seiki Mobility has partnered with EV battery systems provider Forsee Power to avail lithium-ion batteries technology for its entire range of commercial vehicles.
Omega Seiki Mobility commercial electric vehicles equipped with Forsee Power GO 10 Li-Ion battery system provides a range of 120 km when fully loaded, it uses a 48V, 10 kWh battery. Omega Seiki Mobility offers its own electric three-wheelers RAGE+ brand. The Forsee Power has a complete range of batteries for the electro-mobility market and meets the needs of all its light and heavy vehicles whether on road, rail, or water.
According to the release, “We are pleased to start this collaboration with Omega Seiki Mobility that illustrates very well the reason we established in Pune in 2020, to support the electrification of mobility in India with a FAME 2-compliant industrial base. I look forward to more projects with Omega Seiki,” said Durga Akhnoor, CEO, Forsee Power India.

Recently, the Valeo, a French automotive supplier and global leader in electrification systems and Omega Seiki Mobility (OSM) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to provide electric powertrains for OSM Vehicle Range. Through the partnership, Valeo will provide electric powertrains.
The Valeo will provide its 48V electric powertrain system which includes a reducer, integrated motor and inverter with the Powertrain control unit for Omega Seiki Mobility cargo three-wheeler Rage+ and Rage+ Frost. Valeo’s engineers will provide technology integration support to help Omega Seiki Mobility. The companies will also collaborate for the upcoming vehicle models to be manufactured by the company in India, Valeo said in a release.
OSM electric vehicle manufacturing facility
Omega Seiki Mobility had also announced that it would develop an electric vehicle manufacturing facility near Dhaka, Bangladesh. It would invest ₹1 billion to develop the facility. The company will be registered in Bangladesh as OSM-Bangladesh. The factory will manufacture electric two-wheelers, three-wheelers, and cycles to sell all over India via local partners and franchises.
At present, the Omega Seiki has two manufacturing facilities at IMT Faridabad and IMT Manesar in Haryana. For its research and development and manufacture of cutting-edge technologies and information technology, the company has invested ₹2 billion in India.
Forsee Power
Forsee Power a European multinational producer of smart lithium-ion electric vehicle battery systems that had entered the Indian market in 2020 has started its production work for a series of EV batteries for electric two and three-wheelers at its Pune plant. The Forsee as a manufacturer and supplier of energy management systems has its presence in Europe, Asia, and North America. Forsee partners with OEMs (Original Equipment Manufacturers) to enable their transition to electrification.
For India, its main focus is the two/ three-wheelers segment and bus segment. The company’s new battery production is located in Pune’s Chakan Industrial Area, which is 35 km away from the Pune Airport. Bajaj Auto’s factory is also located there. The battery production plant is furnished with state-of-the-art assembly lines, laboratories and testing capabilities.
To increase the production line up of light electric vehicles especially for three-wheelers, the main area of focus is India’s FAME II national plan for electromobility. It has committed to extend its range to high voltage systems for bus, marine, rail, industrial and commercial vehicles by 2023. The Forsee claims that its India-based production capacity will progressively reach 1 GWh by 2025.
