Kinetic Green signed MoU with MahaMetro

Kinetic Green Energy and Power Solutions Limited have signed an MoU with the MahaMetro to provide last mile connectivity with their e-rickshaws to the commuters. Kinetic Energy will provide its electric three-wheelers ‘Kinetic Safar.’

Kinetic is India’s first ARAI approved electric three-wheeler. The electric vehicles can be booked using a mobile app and the payment can be done online through the card or the other online payment methods.

At present this will be taken as the pilot to provides services to the commuters through the e-rickshaws at Khapri, New Airport, Airport South, Airport Jaiprakash Nagar, Sitabardi Subhash Nagar, and Lokmanya Nagar Metro Station.

The Founder and CEO of Kinetic Energy and Power Solutions, Ms. Sulajja Firodia Motwani said that they are happy to do a partnership with MahaMetro to give cost-effective last-mile mobility solutions to their passengers.

The company will offer affordable rides at Rs 10 per ride to the customers of MahaMetro. This will also make the Metro popular. This will be a pilot project and a batch of 20 electric vehicles and then it will ramp up to 15 vehicles per station.




The company already providing this kind of services at Kochi Metro and Ms. Sulajja believes that it will also please the people of Nagpur.

Dr. Brijesh Dixit, MD MahaMetro said, “We are excited to partner with Kinetic Green to provide e-rickshaws to our commuters in Nagpur. At MahaMetro we always have a sensitive approach towards the environment, therefore, our Rail Projects are one of the greenest projects in India with up to 65% energy to come from solar panels.”

To charge these electric vehicles the MahaMetro Nagpur has started to install charging stations at all their metro stations and at present the charging station at Khapri Airport metro station is ready.
