Fortum signed an agreement with HMRL to set up EV charging networks
Fortum, a Finnish Government-owned company has already installed EV charging points at 8 places at Begumpet, Kukatpally, KPHB, Moosapet, Stadium, Tarnaka, Mettuguda, and Habsiguda Metro Stations.
EV points currently charges the electric cars at free of cost
These EV points currently charges the electric cars at free of cost but once the rates are applicable it will cost Rs.2 for per kilometer. It will take 45 minutes to 1 hour to charge an electric car.
EV Charging Station at Miyapur and Balanagar Metro stations
Apart from Fortum, Power Grid Corporation of India, a government of India has installed 3 charging stations at Miyapur and Balanagar Metro stations.
The other EVs companies are also looking forward to setting up EV charging points at Metro stations for electric bikes and electric autos.
EV charging station Inauguration at Begumpet Metro station
On Monday, Municipal Administration and Urban Development Principal Secretary Arvind Kumar inaugurated an electric vehicle charging station and a paid smart parking station at Begumpet Metro station.
HMRL has introduced the ‘Park Hyderabad’, paid parking facility
The HMRL has introduced the ‘Park Hyderabad’, a paid parking facility for two and four wheelers at all the 24 metro stations between Miyapur-Ameerpet-Nagole stretches of 30 km.
This smart parking facility is based on a digital solution which can be used using a mobile app which gives information from all the parking lots at metro stations.
Parking facility open to public from 6 AM to 10.30 PM
The parking facility is open to the public from 6 AM to 10.30 PM and can be used through the electronics payments or cash payments.
The parking charges are Rs.3 per hour for bike and Rs.8 per hour for cars.
