Electric Aircraft-Kitty hawk’s magic carpet

We can guess what’s on your mind when you heard the term “magic carpet”. Yes! It’s that fictional carpet which offers an aerial ride with one command, which struck your childhood TV show memory right now. The E-VTOL (ELECTRIC VERTICAL TAKEOFF AND LANDING) aircraft which we are about to mention in this article cannot be folded like a carpet, but it can offer a similar ride in air with seating posture which is also similar to the magic carpet.

This electric aircraft is from a Californian aviation company called Kitty Hawk and it is backed by Google’s co-founder Larry Page and the aircraft is called FLYER. We expect the intention behind naming the aircraft as Flyer because it can lift you into the air without the requirement of valid pilot license to fly. You heard it right, all you need is just a few hours of training from the Kitty hawk’s expertise to handle it.

The all-electric aircraft with programmed controls can make it easier for a non-pilot to take off, manoeuvre and land it safely. The aircraft bottom is made like a hull which makes it take off and land only from a floating platform on the water for safe flights.  of test riders.

The Flyer retired from operations in 2020 after 25,000 successful test flights because it doesn’t have any commercial or profitable applications for Kitty hawk. The Flyer is now an important milestone in aviation history and is exhibited in aircraft museum. However, the company had more ambitious plans for Electric aviation and they are currently working on other aviation segments which are even more exciting.
