EESL modifies 1k EV tender to 750 last date-March 12, 2020
The Energy Efficiency Services Limited (EESL) has issued changes to the tender floated earlier for 1,000 air-conditioned four-wheeler electric sedan cars which are having a range of 180 km on a pan India basis.
EESL modifies 1k EV tender
The ESSL has modified the tender to 750 electric vehicles from 1,000. It has now invited bids for the procurement of 750 air-conditioned four-wheeler electric sedan cars. The last date for the submission of bids is March 12, 2020. The EESL is a joint venture of the public-sector units of the Ministry of Power and the Government of India.
This tender will include the scope of work such as designing, manufacturing, supplying, and maintenance of the cars at the required locations in the country. If you want to be part of this tender, the bidder should be a car manufacturer, and in case of a consortium, one of the members should be designated as the lead member with the authority to bind the consortium. All the members of the consortium should be car manufacturers and should meet the technical criteria requirements.
EESL other initiatives
Recently, the energy service company (ESCO) Energy Efficiency Services Limited (EESL) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with telecom major Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd (BSNL).
Earlier it had announced that it will install 75 EV Charging stations in Delhi. This initiative is a part of the Government’s vision to reduce carbon footprints.
Apart from these the Energy Efficiency Services (EESL) has made an agreement with BSNL to install 100 e-cars public charging stations in Punjab.
It had successfully installed one million smart meters across India under the Smart Meter National Program. In the next few years, it aims to deploy 250 million smart meters across the country.
Earlier, EESL has also signed an MoU with the South Delhi Municipal Corporation to build EVs charging infrastructure in the SDMC area for a period of 10 years.
