Arrival unveils its electric van
Arrival an Anglo-American vehicle manufacturer who creates EVs using its game-changing technology has unveiled its electric van today. The Arrival Van is expected to start full production in Q3 2022.
The company said in a statement that it has set a new standard for commercial vehicles by introducing a fully electric van that can play a role of both payloads that is having a capacity of 1975kg and a cargo volume of 2.4m3 per metre in length that is lower in price when compared to ICE vehicle.
Arrival’s in-house components enable the software to run real-time health monitoring and predictive maintenance. Its components can be upgradeable over time in both hardware and software so that the vehicle will have all the latest technology.
It is having a modular battery ranging from 44kWh to 133kWh, consumers can choose the battery capacity based on their requirements.
The vehicle comes with an aluminium frame and proprietary composite body panels which makes it lightweight and helps in getting better range as well as reduces the frequency and cost of repairs and extends the vehicle’s life expectancy.
The Arrival’s van will have all the luxury comforts bringing a new level of comfort to the commercial market. It includes seating, independent front and rear suspension, full cabin climate control and a 15.6” touch-screen interface to communicate data.
It has some key features such as digital e-mirrors, a 360-degree surround view, advanced emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, traffic sign recognition and lane keep assist.
The President and Chief Strategy Officer of Arrival Avinash Ruguboor said in a Press Release that “We believe that the rapid growth of e-commerce has led to a much higher demand for light commercial transport in cities, increasing both congestion and air pollution.”
“We are in the midst of an important market transition as more and more fleet managers adopt cleaner and more sustainable methods and cities adopt stricter air quality measures, we are looking to accelerate that transition with a best-in-class solution that has clear benefits, at a purchase price and TCO that makes the transition the best possible commercial decision too.”
