Greaves Cotton, one of the leading diversified engineering companies has launched an all-new high-speed electric scooter, Ampere Zeal.
The new electric scooter will get a subsidy of Rs.18,000 under the FAME II scheme of the government.
FAME India Scheme
The FAME India (Faster Adoption and Manufacture of Hybrid and Electric Vehicles) Scheme provides incentives to EVs to promote eco-friendly mobility by adopting electric and hybrid vehicles in India.
Ampere electric vehicles come with one to three-year warranty and after-sales service network with over 300 Greaves retail stores and in over 5,000 aftermarket outlets in India.
The Ampere Zeal costs Rs. ₹ 66,950 (ex-showroom) after subsidy.

Specifications of electric scooter
The Ampere Zeal is powered by the BLDC hub motor which has the capacity of 1200 watts and a 60V/30Ah battery.
The kerb weight of the electric scooter is just 78 kg and gives a top speed if 55 kmph. It provides a range of 75 km on a fully charged battery. The battery charging time required is 5-6 hours.

The electric scooter appearance is styling and attractive with body graphics, LED headlights, It has two driving speed modes economy and power. It gives the acceleration of 0-50 kmph in 14 seconds.
The electric scooter is available in five high gloss metallic color options.
