Ampere Electric Vehicles announced 35% growth in EVs sales in Q3 FY 21

India’s leading electric two-wheeler manufacturer and an electric mobility subsidiary of Greaves Cotton Ampere Vehicles Pvt Ltd has announced that they have achieved 35% growth in sales volume in the Q3 FY 21 compared to Q3 FY20 that is from 16th December 2020 to the end of 13th January 2021. 

During the global Coronavirus pandemic, the automotive industry has been effected badly and now is in the recovering stage. In that situation also the Ampere vehicles were able to make its sales growth to 35% when compared to the previous year Q3 FY20.

Earlier in June, the company’s electric vehicles sales have increased post unlock the company said in a statement. It has opened 10 new dealerships across the country. It claimed that most of the customers have expressed their needs to switch to an affordable and sustainable mode of personal transport like electric scooters.

“Ampere Electric Vehicles has seen an upsurge of 60 per cent in retail sales in over 150 cities and towns across the country after Unlock 1.0 (June 1, 2020). The company not only did best in sales during the pandemic but it has also launched a mid-speed all-electric scooter Magnus Pro.

It had also partnered with India’s first start-up OTO Capital to offer vehicles on leasing plans to the customers. The customers can take its benefits of leasing option from August 1, 2020, exclusively in Bangalore. By the end of this year, the company is also planning to extend the lease services to Pune, Hyderabad, Delhi, Chennai and Cochin.

It aims to fulfil the government’s vision to go all-electric by 2030. Ampere has around 60,000 electric scooters across over 200 cities and towns in India.
