NIU unveils new electric scooters & bikes at EICMA 

NIU the leading electric scooter manufacturer has also taken its several new electric scooters models at the EICMA 2021 Milan Motorcycle Show. Its models include MQi GT EVO electric scooter and an urban electric motorcycle RQi. Apart from these, it is also showcasing its micro-mobility products such as electric scooters and e-bikes at EICMA. The new models displayed at the event are the new MQi GT EVO, RQi Sport, NQi GTS, YQi, and BQi KQi. The MQi GT EVO is the NIU is the faster electric scooter with a top speed of 100 km/h (62 mph). It is equipped with the highest power hub motor 5 kW (6.7 hp) and a pair of 72V 26Ah batteries touting up to 85 km (53 miles) of range.

It has been redesigned compared to the previous MQI models. The batteries can be charged in less than 4 hours. If we look at its features, it has keyless ignition and an electric anti-theft steering wheel lock. It is available in 4 different colours and comes with a price tag of €4,999 which includes 3 years of connectivity and app services.

BQi e-bike is also entering into the market which is equipped with a 250 W Bafang motor and a single-gear transmission. It provides a range of 100 kilometres and a top speed of 25 km/h and the expected price is under €1,500

The chief innovation officer Token Hu said, “When we sat down to build the EVO, we had one goal in mind this bike has got to be fun from the moment you pull the throttle.” “We believe we can convince die-hard fans of petrol motorbikes that the future lies in electric mobility. The YQi is a motorbike that can help bridge the gap.”

The company is also updating its NQi GTS electric scooter with a new motor V-Motor that propels over 80 km/h. The NQi GTS will be priced at €3,999. The scooter also gets a colour TFT screen.

NIU is also showing off its new electric kickscooters that will be the expansion of KQi3. It is launching the KQi3 MAX with higher performance and a faster top speed of 35 km/h (22 mph).
