JBM launched Eco-Life electric AC buses in Ahmedabad
India’s leading JBM Group has launched its Eco-Life electric AC buses in Ahmedabad under the BRTS scheme. 50 Eco-life buses have been launched as the first batch out of 180 buses. The JBM Group has handed over the buses at the Vastral BRTS Depot. The Chief Minister of Gujarat Vijay Rupani and the Home Minister of Gujarat Pradipsinh Jadeja were present virtually at the launch ceremony at the Depot.
The JBM to supply overall 180 buses to Ahmedabad under the BRTS scheme by Ahmedabad Janmarg Ltd AJL) a subsidiary of Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation.
The company says that the ECO-LIFE electric bus will save around 1000 equivalent tons of carbon dioxide and 350,000 litres of diesel over 10 years of operation. This initiative is a great evolution of how public transportation operates in India.
Eco-Life electric bus features & specifications
While we look for its technical terms, it is powered by fast-charging lithium-ion batteries that can provide a range of 250 km. It comes with an 80-160 KW motor. The electric bus is loaded with smart features such as Real-Time Passenger Information System (PIS), panic buttons for emergency, automatic bus vehicle location system, CCTV cameras, public address system, stop request buttons, etc.
