Strom R3 two-seater electric car bookings open now

Mumbai Based Strom Motors electric vehicle manufacturer’s electric two-seater Storm R3 is now open for bookings at Rs. 10,000. The pre-bookings will start on 25th February 2021. The two-seater electric car was first unveiled in 2018 and it is expected to be the most affordable electric car in India with a price tag of around Rs 4.5 lakh (ex-showroom). Due to COVID19, the launched has been postponed as it was supposed to launch in March 2020. let us now discuss in detail about Strom R3 two-seater electric car. 

Specifications 

The Strom R3 is a two-door electric car with three wheels which comes with a large sunroof and is IOT enabled. It provides a top speed of 80 kmph and comes with three range variants 120km, 160 km and 200 km. It is equipped with a lithium-ion battery which gives a 1 lakhs km+ lifespan. The Strom R3 works with a 15kW high efficient motor and has a maximum torque of 90 NM. It has a high strength steel space frame chassis, reverse trike design.
Its ground clearance is 185 mm.

Its kerb weight is 550 kgs and a 300L rear and 100L front cargo capacity. It comes with 3 different driving modes such as Eco, Normal and SportsAVFS.

Features 

It has some key features such as a 7 inch triple digital auxiliary touchscreen display interface with gesture and voice controls. 4G connectivity with GPS and onboard navigation. Remote keyless entry, power windows. Its safety features include a 12-way adjustable driver seat and 3-point seatbelts. It has a climate control air-conditioning feature.

It has an onboard charger that supports a Type-2 Charger for fast charging. These Type-2 public chargers are available all around India. Its braking system has a front hydraulic disc and a rear drum brake along with a regenerative braking system. 

Additional features

Apart from these, it has some additional features such as a large sunroof, rear roofline spoiler. For infotainment, it has IOT enabled continuous monitoring system, parking assist (future), automatic vehicle following system (Future), Onboard 20GB music storage, smart music playlist, mobile connectivity, USB & FM Radio. 

The electric vehicle is coming with 3 years or 100,000 km of warranty whichever comes first.
