Delhi issued tender for 575 electric buses

The Transport Department, Government of National Capital Territory of Delhi (GNCTD) has issued a tender for the operation of 575 electric buses at three clusters in the city.

These electric buses are air-conditioned, low floor private stage carriage vehicles under the GNCTD cluster program. It has inducted 2,897 buses under the Cluster Program for the Operation of Private Stage Carriages services in Delhi.

The bidders can submit the bids till March 16, 2021. Interested bidders can submit their bids at earnest money deposit of ₹172.5 million. The bidders must examine the works of the project and submit proposals in Clusters E1, E2, and E3.

The winning bidders will get a subsidy of 40% under the FAME II (Faster Adoption and Manufacturing of Electric Vehicles).

Indian Oil Corporation issued tender for 15 fuel cell electric buses

The Indian Oil Corporation (IOC) has issued a tender for 15 hydrogen polymer electrolyte membrane (PEM) fuel cell electric buses to be supplied at its research and development centre in Faridabad, Haryana.

The electric buses must be delivered in 144 weeks. IOC did not specify an earnest money deposit (EMD) requirement for the tender. The deadline for bid submission is January 25, 2020.

The successful bidders must supply 15 homologated buses. The electric buses must be nine-meter-long buses, and five must be 12 meters long. The buses must be designed as per the climatic conditions as per the Delhi-National Capital Region.

The bidders must have supplied at least two electric buses as a direct sale order or ten buses in the last 5 years. The bidders must have the facility to develop, manufacture, assemble, or fabricate PEM fuel cell stacks and systems in the country.
