While we still debate about EVs in India, China crossed 1 million Charging Posts
As per the Electric Vehicle Charging Infrastructure Promotion Alliance, the growth rate is reached to 69.3% over the previous year. India is hoping to hit the 2000 mark by the end of this year.
The alliance said that of all the charging posts, 412,000 are public while 590,000 are private. Last year China added 140,000 new public charging posts with about 11,700 posts each month.
Charging posts installation in the top ten places
The charging posts installation was done in the top ten places where more public is found such as Beijing, Shanghai, Tianjin, Jiangsu, Guangdong, Shandong, Zhejiang, Hebei, Anhui, and Hubei.
This is the main reason for the growth of EVs in China. The country is free from the charging anxiety with the awesome growth rate in the charging posts.
EVs sales increased to 80% last year
If we look at the overall vehicle production in June 2019 reaches to 1.895 million units. The electric vehicle’s production hit to 1, 34,000 units in June. Making the increase in sales to 56.3% and reached to the 1,52,000 units up to 80% last year.
Currently, China can purchase almost a million electric vehicles in a year with the support of government incentives and other supports.
India must learn a lesson and instead of debating and becoming aggressive about the government decisions automakers must come forward and take some serious seriously actions towards adopting EVs in the country.
India must move forward with EVs as the government is also making a lot of efforts to push the adoption of EVs and there are also some manufacturers who are into making 100% electric vehicles.
Hopefully, each and every manufacturer must make electric vehicles and if the proper charging infrastructure provided to the people we can also achieve our goals without leaving the charging anxiety in the people.
