VW claiming something big for its ID.3

Volkswagen (VW) is preparing to launch the ID.3 electric car. It is the first new electric car based on its MEB platform. It is planning to deliver 30,000 ID.3 electric cars at once and the company is claiming that it will be cheaper than a gasoline car.
VW started ID.3 electric car production in November 2019 at its Zwickau factory which is converting gasoline-powered cars to electric cars.
However, we cant expect he ID.3 electric deliveries until summer 2020 as they will assemble the vehicles until then. But when it starts its ID.3 electric delivers it will deliver 30,000 vehicles almost at once. “The objective is to deliver the 30,000 pre-booked ID.3 vehicles in the 1st Edition to customers throughout Europe at almost the same time.”
The carmaker also said briefly about the vehicle’s software which is going to be the first updateable Volkswagen. “This will be the first updatable electric car from Volkswagen based on the modular electric drive toolkit (MEB). During production, the current software version will initially be transferred to the vehicle. Over subsequent months, the digital functions will be regularly updated.”
Recently, it has announced that it is accelerating its electric car plans and now targets 1.5 million electric vehicles by 2025. By the end of 2023, it will reach 1m battery-only cars and by 2025 1.5 million.

Since 2013 it has sold 250,000 plug-in electric VW cars. The company celebrates the sale of its 250,000th plug-in electric car. Half of the plug-in car sales were BEVs.
The company in 2018 witnessed the sales of 50,000 in 2018 and in 2019 it sold more than 70,000 plug-ins.
