TVS iQube Prices Increase Slightly Despite New EMPS Subsidy

The TVS iQube electric scooter has seen a small price hike despite the introduction of the new subsidy scheme, EMPS (Electric Mobility Purchase Scheme). This increase comes after the withdrawal of the FAME 2 subsidy, which previously helped bring down the cost of electric vehicles.

Here’s a breakdown of the new ex-showroom prices (including EMPS subsidy) for Bengaluru:

  • TVS iQube STD: Rs 1,36,628 (approx. Rs 2,206 increase)
  • TVS iQube S: Rs 1,46,420 (approx. Rs 6,395 increase)

While there is a price increase, it’s important to consider two things:

  • Subsidy Impact: The EMPS subsidy has helped offset some of the price hike caused by the FAME 2 withdrawal.
  • Manufacturer Absorption: TVS has also absorbed some of the increased cost themselves, resulting in a smaller price jump for consumers.

Overall Impact

The price increase for the TVS iQube is relatively minimal thanks to the EMPS subsidy and manufacturer absorption. This helps maintain affordability for electric scooter buyers.

Here are some additional points to consider:

These prices are for Bengaluru. The on-road price for your city may vary slightly.
The TVS iQube competes with other premium electric scooters like Ather 450X, Hero Vida V1, and Ola S1 Pro.
For the latest information and exact pricing in your city, contacting your nearest TVS dealership is recommended.
