These electric vehicles are the most awaited electric vehicles in India which are launched in the month of January 2020.

Tata Nexon EV

Tata Nexon EV is the most awaited electric SUV in India. This SUV is also said as the Connected Car as it comes with 35 intuitive features. 

This car will be available in some of the major cities such as Bangalore, Delhi, Pune, Mumbai and Hyderabad. The Nexon EV is available in three colours such as Signature Teal Blue, Glacier White and Moonlit Silver.

Tata Nexon EV specifications

The Nexon EV is having a range of 312 km with a top speed of 120 km/h. It accelerates 0 to 100 kmph in 9.9s only. It can be charged 80% in 60 minutes with a Home charger and with a 15 Ah plugin home charger it can charge 20% to 80% in 8 hours. It comes with a 30.2 kWh Ip67 certified battery pack with 8 years of warranty and is tested for 1 Million kilometres. It is equipped with 3 phase induction motor and its peak output of 129 PS and torque of 245 Nm. 
Its some of the features are Locate nearest charging station, Remote commands, Navigation, Track your car, etc. 



It comes in three variants XM XZ+ and XZ+ Luxury. The price of these three variants are XM variant is priced at 13,99/000, Xz+ priced at 14,99,000 and XZ+ LUX is priced at 15,99,000. 

Bajaj Chetak

It is the first electric scooter from a well known and popular brand Bajaj. It is said to be the best range electric scooter till now. It will be first available in Pune and Bengaluru and later on to other cities.

Bajaj Chetak electric scooter is powered with a 4kW electric motor and it gets two different range with its two driving modes such as  Eco Mode where you get 95 km and in Sport Mode, you get a range of 85 km. 

Bajaj electric scooter has a 3 kWh non-renewable lithium-ion battery which is IP67-rated and can be charged using a 5-15 amp electrical outlet. The company will also provide a home charging station at a nominal cost.

The chetak has priced at an ex-showroom price of 1 lakh rupees for a base version and 1.15 lakh rupees for the premium version. The electric chetak will be available in Around 13 dealerships in Bengaluru and four dealerships in Pune. Bajaj is providing 3 years or 50,000 warranty on electric chetak.

Ather 450X




Ather 450X  electric scooter is from Ather Energy is the improved performance version of Ather 450. Ather is said to be the best selling electric scooter till now.

It is equipped with a 6 kW peak power which gives a range of 85 km. Its top speed is 80 km/h and it can reach 0-40 kmph in just 3.3 s. It also has a reverse m0de option. Ather 450X supports fast charging which can charge 80% in 1 Hour.

It is available in Bengaluru, Chennai, NCR, Mumbai, Pune & Hyderabad with a price tag of 450X of Rs 1.49 lakh. 

MG ZS EV

It will be available in five cities initially such as Delhi-NCR, Hyderabad, Mumbai, Ahmedabad and Bengaluru.

MG ZS EV is powered by a synchronous motor that gives 141 bhp and produces 353 Nm of peak torque. It is equipped with a 44.5 kWh battery pack which provides a range of 300 km on a single charge. It accelerates 0-100 km/h in 8.5 seconds and it gives a top speed of 140 km/h.

Its lithium-ion battery can be charged up to 80 per cent in 40 minutes with the help of a 50 kW DC charger. It takes seven hours to charge it with a standard 7 kW charger.  It is IP67 certified which means it is water and dustproof.

The internet electric SUV is coming with a price tag for pre-booked customers, for its excite version price is Rs 19,88,000 and for its Exclusive version, it is pricing in Rs 22,58,000, if you pre-booked it otherwise it will cost you more 1 lakh rupees than the said cost. 

TVS iQube

It is the first electric scooter from the leading manufacturer. It is a performance-oriented scooter and was first showcased at the 2018 Auto Expo. The Raod Transport and Highways Minister Mr Nitin Gadkari along with the CM of Karnataka launched this electric scooter.

TVS Motors offered some powerful specifications. It used a LiFePo4 (LFP) battery and is powered by three lithium-ion batteries. Its motor power is 12 kW (16.1 hp). It gives a range of 75 km on a single charge and its top speed is 78 km/h.




It charges up to 80% in 1 hour using a fast charger and with the regular charger, it takes 3 hours to charge fully. It can accelerate from 0-60 km/hr in 5.1 seconds flat which is excellent compared to any scooter.
