The bike project has received the first prize and a cash award of Rs 50,000 by the jury at India’s first new Clean and Intelligent Mobility Mission Festival 2019-2020, instituted under the aegis of All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE).
The main reason for this project is that the students observed why and what is stopping the people to switch to e-bikes. They observed the lack of charging stations is a big barrier and the price is the biggest barrier than that. That is why they came up with this project.
The Fuerza, the name of the e-bike which means ‘force’ in Spanish was put together at a very low cost which makes a way to convert the similar old vehicles into ‘green’ transport.
