And here in this article, we give you a clear review of an electric bike. Tork Kratos R user Aravind shared his review of this e-bike. And explains his experiences, the e-bike’s performance, and the pros and cons of the e-bike. So, let’s dive into the details.
Aravind brought the e-bike on October 31st, 2022. And he has attached a Sepal shield to his bike to get complete all-weather protection to him while traveling. And it was the first thing that caught our attention about the bike when we approached him for the user review segment. In response to our question about whether a shield attachment would result in any misbalancing or restriction of top speed, he said there was no issue.
He said, “The weight of this vehicle is 140kgs and its stability is extremely superior. And it does not shake at all. It’s never distracted me from my riding comfort.”
In the period since he brought the bike, he encountered some minor issues. By applying two brakes at the same time, the back wheel locked and the vehicle fell. After falling, nothing happened to the bike except a small scratch, as it still functions. At the time of the accident, there was a wiring fault inside the bike. He as soon as possible contacted roadside assistance. The assistance team came and took the vehicle and repaired it. Since then, everything works well.
And another minor issue is regarding the ladies’ footrest, which is a little higher than usual. It causes women to have problems sitting on this bike.
Coming to the range, at the launch of the bike the company claimed 180 km but the real-time dashboard shows 120 km. Aside from competing with other vehicles, he says he got between 100 and 105km when using sports mode. And in normal mode, he got about 90km.
In terms of its price, when he brought the bike its on-road price in Hyderabad was 1,77,738 and now it is 2 lakhs. According to the user, it determines the price of a product. According to him, the petrol rates have gone up to the BS6 phase in the current market, and drivers are going up very quickly. Also, maintenance is high as are petrol rates. So, this e-bike saves money. Within five years it can return your vehicle cost.”
In terms of the top speed and motor of this e-bike, Aravind said that the top speed is 105. Additionally, he added that on YouTube one of the customers said he got 107 as well.
According to him, the motorcycle’s suspension is comfortable, so you won’t have to flick it around. If it is on the slippery side, you can flick it, but it’s on the soft side. And for city rides, this is the most suitable choice. Even in the rainy season, this e-bike is very useful.”
And many people can consider the battery position on this bike as an issue that can hit due to any speed breaker or bump. But in Aravind’s words, the minimum ground clearance is 160mm but this Tork Kratos R comes with 165mm ground clearance. So, the battery position is not a problem.
He also added that the aluminum case protects the battery, so that shouldn’t cause problems. And he suggests that whenever you purchase a vehicle around the battery there should be an aluminum casing with which it grabs a lot of heat and the battery doesn’t get heated up. So, before taking a vehicle we should remember that.
In terms of charging time, it takes four and a half hours. According to the user, he doesn’t run the vehicle below 20% charge, which is why it takes him four and a half hours.
While buying an electric bike, Aravind says, we should consider some major points like checking reviews, features, specifications, and most importantly, price details. As he stated his first preference was Ultraviolette F77.he still feels that he didn’t take that, as it took time to come so he took Tork Kratos R. He still wants to buy that once the battery of this vehicle ends.
Out of 10, he wants to give 9.5 for this Tork Kratos R. Aside from the dual-channel ABS, ladies’ footrest height, and cruise control as issues there are no major issues to lessen the product rating. Based on these three options provided by Tork, the rating would be 10 out of 10.
Positives:
The e-bike is incredibly efficient as it comes with a chain drive. It is the main reason he chose this bike. If you take the Revolt, it has Bell Drive. We have to ride it with fear that it might break at any time. But on this bike, you don’t have to worry. And the replacement cost and maintenance are also reasonable. Even though the maintenance cost is high, it doesn’t fear us. That is the main advantage.
In Aravind’s words, he lubricates the chain every 1000km at the mechanic shop near his house. And the cost of its belt is also high, around Rs 3000. That’s why chain drive is better than bell drive.
In addition, the tires they provided were excellent. The grip of the tires is outstanding. And brakes are effective, but his suggestion is to apply 70% front brake and 30% back brake so that the bike doesn’t skid at all. Even without ABS, it doesn’t skid. He added that it was his own experience, not just a suggestion.
