The arrival of the Ola S1 X+ electric scooter

The arrival of the Ola S1 X+ electric scooter

In August this year, Ola Electric unveiled its latest lineup of electric scooters, which includes the S1 X+. The company has now started delivering the S1 X+ to dealerships across India, with the first dealership located in Indiranagar. Potential customers can visit the dealership and get a closer look at the electric scooter. The S1 X+ comes with a range of features, including a top speed of 115 km/h, a range of 181 km on a single charge, and a 7-inch touchscreen dashboard display. It also has a removable battery that can be charged in just 30 minutes and a boot space of 36 liters. The ex-showroom price of the S1 X+ is INR 21,09,999.

The Ola S1 X+ electric scooter is an eco-friendly vehicle that runs on a 3 kWh battery. This battery provides a certified range of 151 km, which is impressive for a scooter. Ola Electric has shared that the True Range of the scooter is 125 km in Eco mode and 100 km in Normal mode, making it perfect for daily commuting needs.

Charging the battery pack is also convenient, as it takes only 7.4 hours through the 500kW home charger. This charger is designed to be efficient and can quickly charge the battery for longer rides. Overall, the Ola S1 X+ offers an eco-friendly and efficient mode of transportation for those looking to reduce their carbon footprint.

The electric motor of the vehicle is mounted on the hub and can generate 2.7 kW of nominal power and 6 kW of peak power. It has a top speed of 90 kmph and can accelerate from 0-40 kmph in just 3.3 seconds, while it takes 5.5 seconds to reach 0-60 kmph. Ola is providing a sports mode that will further decrease the riding range.

In terms of features, the scooter boasts a 5-inch LCD display, LED lighting, side-stand alert, reverse mode, remote boot unlock, navigation, and protective maintenance. It also supports OTA updates as well as Bluetooth and GPS connectivity.

The scooter’s suspension duties are carried out by twin telescopic units and dual shock absorbers at the rear. It uses drum brakes for braking, with no discs or alloy wheels available. The scooter is equipped with a combi-braking system and steel wheels.

When it comes to appearance, the Ola scooter stands out with its unique dual-tone design, circular mirrors, and a revamped headlamp cowl. Despite these changes, it still maintains its signature design language, making it easily identifiable as an Ola scooter.
