Tata Motors partners DNRE to deploy Tigor EVs in Goa

India’s leading automobile company Tata Motors partners with the Department of New & Renewable Energy (DNRE) to deploy Tigor EVs in Goa under the EESL tender.

The company undertook the handover ceremony as a part of a recent event in the presence of Shri Pramod Pandurang Sawant, Hon’ble Chief Minister, Govt. of Goa, Shri Rajesh Tulshidas Patnekar, Honourable Speaker, Goa Legislative Assembly, Shri Nilesh Cabral, Hon’ble Minister for Power, Environmental, Non-conventional Source of Energy & Law & Judiciary, Shri Parimal Rai, Chief Secretary, Govt of Goa, and other senior officers of the Ministry.

Tata Motors is working with other Tata Group companies such as Tata Power, Tata Chemicals, Tata Auto Components, Tata Motors Finance, and Croma to contribute to the faster adoption of electric vehicles in India

Tata Motors holds a market share of 71% in EVs (YTD FY21) with its best selling products in the fleet segment with Tigor EV and in personal segment Nexon EV.

First anniversary celebrations of Nexon EV 

Tata Motors has recently announced the first anniversary celebrations of its popular electric SUV, the Tata Nexon EV. Nexon EV has become popular in India and is India’s highest-selling electric vehicle with a market share of 64% (YTD FY21).

At current, around 3,000 families enjoy the pleasure of owning and driving the Tata Motor’s Nexon EV which means high amounts of C02 emissions reductions from the air. 

Tata Nexon EV’s base XM is priced at Rs 13.99 lakh (ex-showroom) whereas the Nexon EV XZ+ and XZ+ Lux models price has been increased. Tata Nexon XZ+ comes with a price tag of Rs 15.40 lakh (ex-showroom) and the XZ+ Lux Rs 16.40 lakh (ex-showroom).
