Tata Motors gets order for 3,500 XPRES-T EV units from BlueSmart

Tata Motors has partnered with BlueSmart Mobility, it has received an order for 3,500 XPRES-T EV units from BlueSmart to expand its electric vehicle (EV) vehicle in the Delhi-NCR region. Both the companies have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) and as per the MoU, Tata Motors will supply 3,500 Xpres TEVs to BluSmart Mobility. Tata Motors has launched its new ‘XPRES T EV’ sedan for the fleet customers.

Tata Motors is head of the electric vehicle (commercial) division, said Ramesh Dry Rajan. “Tata Motors has used the Xpres T EV to develop an electric sedan specifically for fleet customers. The Xpres-T 165 range option, XM variant’s net price with a subsidy is Rs 9.54 lakhs and its XZ variant is priced at Rs 10.04 lakh. Its Xpres-T 213 range option, XM+ variant’s net price with a subsidy is Rs 10.14 and its XZ+ variant is priced at Rs 10.64 lakh.

“Targeted at mobility services, corporate and government fleet customers, the XPRES-T EV will come with an optimal battery size, captive fast charging solution, which will ensure outstandingly low cost of ownership in addition to safety and passenger comfort, making it a comprehensive and attractive proposition for fleet owners and operators.”

XPRES-T electric sedan is equipped with 21.5 kWh and 16.5 kWh with 2 range options 213km and 165km. It comes with single-speed automatic transmission, zero tail-pipe emission, dual airbags, ABS with EBD as standard variants. Its 16.5 kWh battery can be charged in just 90 mins and 21.5 kWh in 110 mins using a fast charger or it can also be charged from any 15 A plug point.
