Tata Motors and Uber signs MoU to launch fleet of 25,000 XPRES-T electric cars

Tata Motors, India’s leading automobile manufacturer and the pioneer of India’s EV evolution signed an MoU with Uber, India’s leading ridesharing app on February 20, to bring 25,000 XPRES–T EVs into their premium category service.

The company will aid Uber in electrifying their services across major cities in India such as Delhi NCR, Mumbai, Kolkata, Chennai, Hyderabad, Bengaluru, and Ahmedabad.

This partnership will help to make environment clean and green.

The deliveries of electric car will start from this month.

PRICE AND RANGE

The XPRES-T electric sedan, which comes with two range options – 213km (XT+) and 165km (XM+) – is priced at Rs 13.54 lakh and Rs 13.04 lakh respectively (ex-showroom Delhi including DPCC and FAME incentives).

COLOUR OPTION

Colour option available are: Pearlescent White.

BATTERY AND CHARGING OPTION

It has a high energy density battery of 26 kWh and 25.5 kWh which can be charged from 0-80 per cent in 59 mins and 110 mins respectively, using fast charging or can also be normally charged from any 15 A plug point.

FEATURES

About the features, it has zero tail-pipe emission, single-speed automatic transmission, dual airbags, and ABS with EBD as standard across variants.

While enhanced safety, silent and premium in cabin experience provides the customers with a relaxed ride, the fast-charging solution, driving comfort and the cost effectiveness of the EV makes it an attractive business proposition for our fleet partners. This partnership will further cement our market position in the fleet segment.”
