Tata EV Aims for 4 Lakh Chargers in India by 2027, Unveils Major Charging Infrastructure Plans

Tata EV has announced ambitious plans to deploy 4 lakh chargers, including 30,000 fast chargers, across India by 2027. To achieve this, the company has introduced a series of initiatives focused on improving accessibility, reliability, and convenience for EV users.

Enhancing the Charging Experience

Tata EV is committed to simplifying and streamlining the EV charging process with the following key measures:

🔹 Star Rating System & Verified Chargers – A new star rating system will be introduced for chargers, along with verification through the Tata EV app, ensuring users have access to reliable and well-maintained charging points.

🔹 Single Call Center for Support – A dedicated helpline (1800 209 8989) will serve as a one-stop support system for charging issues, home charger installations, and trip planning.

🔹 Seamless Payments & Unified Access – To improve ease of use, Tata EV will introduce a common payment gateway, a single QR code system, and RFID cards that can be used across multiple charging networks.

🔹 Faster Charging Solutions – The rollout of 120 kW fast chargers will help significantly reduce charging time, making EV ownership more convenient for users.

🔹 24×7 Support & Customer-Centric Approach – Tata EV is focusing on reliability and user experience, offering on-site and round-the-clock online support, along with improved amenities at charging stations.

Priority Access & Strategic Partnerships

Tata EV’s charging network will be open to all EV users, but Tata EV owners will receive priority access and special pricing benefits. This initiative is aimed at enhancing the ownership experience for Tata’s customers while encouraging widespread EV adoption.

To make this large-scale expansion possible, Tata EV has partnered with Tata Power, ChargeZone, Statiq, and Zeon—leading players in India’s EV charging ecosystem.

A Game-Changer for India’s EV Future

With a goal of 4 lakh chargers by 2027, Tata EV’s initiatives are set to revolutionize India’s charging infrastructure. By addressing accessibility, payment integration, and charging speed, Tata is making significant strides toward a more EV-friendly India.
