Tata Elxsi and Infineon Collaborate to Develop EV Systems for Indian Market
Tata Elxsi, a leading design and technology services company, has announced a strategic collaboration with Infineon Technologies AG, a global semiconductor leader, to develop next-generation electric vehicle (EV) systems tailored for the Indian automotive market.
The partnership aims to combine Tata Elxsi’s deep domain expertise in software, electronics, and system integration with Infineon’s cutting-edge semiconductor solutions to co-develop advanced e-mobility platforms. These platforms will be focused on improving power efficiency, system safety, and performance, and will cater to both two-wheelers and four-wheelers in India’s fast-growing EV segment.
Under this collaboration, both companies will work on developing scalable, reliable EV system architectures including Battery Management Systems (BMS), Motor Control Units (MCU), and Inverter Controllers optimized for Indian driving conditions. The partnership will also explore AI-driven predictive diagnostics, over-the-air (OTA) updates, and secure software integration to align with global safety and compliance standards.
With India targeting a significant EV transition by 2030, this alliance is poised to accelerate innovation, ensure faster time-to-market for OEMs, and boost the adoption of localized, cost-efficient EV technologies.
