Tata AutoComp partners US firm to set up EV charging stations
Tata AutoComp Systems tied up with the US-based Tellus Power Green to set up electric vehicle charging stations in the country. Both the companies have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to supply AC and DC fast chargers for two-wheelers, three-wheelers, passenger and commercial vehicles.

Tata AutoComp MD Arvind Goel said that “As part of Tata Group initiative, the company has been planning a significant play in providing systems and components for electric vehicles, as well as provide enabling systems for establishing charging infrastructure.”
The company has already established joint ventures for giving electric driveline and battery packs for passenger cars, commercial vehicles and for fast-developing two-wheelers and three-wheelers in India. As per the MoU the Tata AutoComp and Tellus will provide AC chargers from 3 kW to 11 kW size for residential complexes, home and also the DC fast chargers from 20 kW to 300 kW so that it can be used for different kinds of vehicles in public places such as office and commercial parking lots, Goel said.
Tellus Power Green Global CEO Randhir Reddy said that “Thanks to this alliance, we can achieve the promotion of electric mobility in an efficient way and benefit more countries internationally.”
Tata AutoComp, a part of Tata Group provides products and services to the Indian and global automotive original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) and tier 1 suppliers. The company has 36 manufacturing facilities all over India and nine facilities are spread across North America, Latin America, Europe and China.
Tata AutoComp Systems partnered with Prestolite
Recently, TataComp Systems has partnered with Prestolite Electric Beijing Ltd to design, engineer, manufacture and supply powertrain solutions for the Indian electric vehicles market. The joint venture will be able to access to technologies for various powertrain products such as motors, controllers and as well as integrated drivetrain (integrated motor, inverter and transmission).
