Range Rover EV Teased: The first electric SUV from Land Rover

Get on the waiting list for the launch in 2024

Land Rover has given a first look at the next Range Rover EV ahead of its expected debut in 2024. It is the first fully electric model from the British brand known for its powerful diesel engines. The company asked interested customers to sign up for the list. This way, you avoid long waiting times for your customers and allow those on your list to reserve a vehicle first.

What’s in store for the Range Rover EV?

There is a glimpse of the new EV in the teaser, which almost resembles its ICE-powered counterpart. There are, however, some special features such as an EV badge on the hub caps and a different grille on the front of the vehicle. Additionally, the fuel filler has been replaced with a charging port, whose cover automatically opens.

How it performs: Range Rover EV

A modular longitudinal architecture (MLA) has been used to construct the new Range Rover EV. It uses a fast charging system that operates at 800 volts. The exact specifications of the battery and power options have not yet been disclosed, but a variety of battery sizes and power options are available. For performance, the model is expected to achieve 100 kmph in 4.6 seconds, similar to the powerful Range Rover V8.

As a result, the electric version of the Range Rover SUV is expected to maintain the SUV’s off-road capabilities. In terms of both software and hardware, it will be equipped with a variety of features to accommodate a variety of scenarios. It is also claimed that Land Rover’s electric vehicle is capable of driving through water that is 850 mm deep, which is quite impressive considering it is an electric vehicle.

How the Range Rover EV compares to its rivals

It is expected that the flagship Range Rover EV will be available by 2024. Since so many people are already enjoying the regular version, we expect Land Rover to introduce the electric version as soon as possible. There will be competition for the new vehicle from the likes of the Audi Q8 e-tron, BMW iX, and the upcoming Mercedes-Benz EQS SUV.
