Piaggio partners EV fleet operator MoEVing to supply EVs

The partnership will help to increase the adoption of electric three-wheelers in India in the last mile transportation segment through the integrated approach of demand aggregation, supply optimisation and connected charging infrastructure. Saju Nair, Executive vice president for CV Business, Piaggio Vehicles, said that with this partnership, the MoEVing will further amplify the efforts to create affordable and sustainable last-mile connectivity.
The Piaggio has recently launched its cargo variant Ape’ E-Xtra FX which has received a great response. “We aim to increase our Ape’ E-Xtra fleet to 500 vehicles by next year and deploy these vehicles across the country with various e-commerce players for last-mile order delivery,” said Vikash Mishra, founder of MoEVing.
Piaggio partners Three Wheels United (TWU)
The Piaggio Vehicles last month had announced that it has partnered with Three Wheels United (TWU) a Bengaluru based tech-enabled financier of light electric vehicles. Under this partnership, the TWU will deploy 500 Piaggio Ape’ E-City and Ape’ E-Xtra vehicles across India.
The company’s statement said that the Piaggio Ape’ E-City and Ape’ E-Xtra vehicles across India will jointly work to promote the adoption of electric vehicles. TWU will also facilitate three-wheeler passenger vehicle and cargo vehicle drivers to switch to EVs from old vehicles. It will offer the needed support for the maintenance and servicing of the vehicles.
